My thoughts
Well....I'm not learning Taekwondo but I seem to be interested in this kind of martial art too.
Before I joined Aikido, I was actually frustrating over choosing between Taekwondo and Aikido.
However, it is alright we have different martial backgrounds as we are all actually learning the
same thing, discipline and responsibility.I have a friend learning Taekwondo and we often discussed detail on our own martial art which I think is a very meaningful thing. Sometime, I even compared Aikido and Taekwondo on whichis better, but in the end I realised it was an unnecessary question as learning martial art is not about being stronger than the others.Perhaps, I may even spare some time to watch a training of taekwondo, to observe how they train and able to witness their amazing kicking techniques!!
Is learning taekwondo safe?
Yes. It is safe. Although taekwondo involves lots of physical attacking, the learners were given full body protection gears which will prevent them from fatal injuries. Sometime, two person will have to spar, which is partner training in order to prepare them for any upcoming competitions, but do not worry as rules were being set like no kicking at the head and other important parts of the body. Also, is it a believe that a taekwondo person will know how to take care of his partner at the same time, protecting himself.
